One Planet One People

December 1968, for the first time in history humanity watches as their planet rises over the horizon of another world. The crescent of a fragile blue planet suspended in the black velvet of space. Not just a rock that we sit upon but a living, breathing and interconnected world that relies upon the interactions of every organism in its biosphere to regulate the environment we inhabit. The year is now 2011 and the strain upon this carefully balanced system is beginning to show. As a species we share the earth as a common resource. We must now learn is to share the responsibility for its protection.
